Join the WNY Environmental Alliance!

Collaboration

An initiative of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo (CFGB), the Western New York Environmental Alliance (WNYEA) is an alliance of Western New York organizations dedicated to preserving and restoring our region's natural environment.

In 2008 and 2009, over 150 organizations and 300 individuals attended three Environmental Congresses to create a regional agenda for the environment.  Our Shared Agenda for Action was launched in July 2009.  Click here to look at pictures from the Environmental Congresses and our Shared Agenda launch event.

Western New York organizations have already made significant progress on Our Shared Agenda and after more than two years of working together, the WNYEA is inviting organizations to become formal members.  We hope your organization will join!

The WNYEA will reconvene a fourth Environmental Congress on November 13, 2010 to review our progress and discuss a plan for moving forward.  Author and international climate change activist, Bill McKibben, will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 Environmental Congress.
