“If you could ride your bike anywhere, where would you ride?”
Tyler Amy’s comment on this question and “Likes” from his friends won him a free membership to Green Options Buffalo in the second GrowWNY Facebook Comment Contest! As in the first Comment Contest, the GrowWNY Facebook fan who received the most number of “Likes” on their comment won a prize from GrowWNY.org and Tyler’s response received 26 “Likes”!
Here is Tyler’s winning comment:
“New Zealand's State Highway 94, especially the section known as The Milford Road. It's ranked one of the most spectacular drives in the world, but imagine how much better it would be to see it by bike. I would ride slowly, so I could take in some of New Zealand's most majestic natural beauty (lakes, river valleys, sheer cliff faces, sounds and fiords, oh and a giant tunnel). If you're not familiar, here's an idea of what I'm talking about..."

Surprisingly, another player in the contest also said she’d like to ride in New Zealand, so it looks like we’ll have to go check it out. If only we could bike there!
Other wanderlust participants included Tina Rimbeck, who wishes to stop everywhere on a bike trip across Europe, and Zachary Rappold, who would ride on the Red Road along the Pacific Ocean in the jungle of Puna Hawaii. Kim Connelly would stay on this continent in her dream ride. Kim would pedal from Western New York to Cape Cod, where she grew up.
Rob Fussell’s response pointed out the lack of bicycle lanes in Buffalo. Rob said he would like to ride on a bike lane on Delaware Avenue (currently non-existent).
However, both Justin Booth and Mary Fisher said something that we can all probably agree on: if they could ride anywhere, they would ride everywhere!
Congratulations again to Tyler Amy for winning this week’s contest, and thanks to everyone who participated! We hope you’ll visit GrowWNY’s Facebook Page again next week for a chance to play in another GrowWNY Facebook Comment Contest.
