A native of East Aurora and a graduate of Houghton College, Bishop came to Buffalo First from Washington, D.C., where she served as Director of Operations at the Institute of Religion and Public Policy, an international non-profit organization that works globally to promote human rights and religious freedom. Bishop brings tremendous dedication and vision to the Buffalo First mission and excels at educating and engaging a socially conscious Buffalo community.
"Sarah has done a tremendous job expanding and strengthening Buffalo First's network of like-minded non-profits and community leaders," said Kelly Mauer, Board president. "She takes a creative approach to pooling efforts, which has really benefited all of our member organizations."
Buffalo First is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization composed of local independent businesses, organizations and concerned citizens. The mission of Buffalo First is to build a local, green and fair economy in the Buffalo-Niagara region by encouraging people to shop locally and by helping independent businesses gain access to local goods and services.
