Hawk Creek Celebrates 25th Wild Renn Fest

Hawk_Creek_smallCharging warhorses and thunderous hoof beats mark the start of Hawk Creek Wildlife Center’s Wild Renn Fest July 14, 15, 21, and 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The 25th annual festival is highlighted by nationally-renowned television host Jarod Miller of Animal Exploration, the brave knights of Brothers in Arms Jousting, and the aerial acrobatics of free-flying birds during The Royal Tournament.

Miller will share his diverse wildlife from around the world during his show and meet and greet session.  Professional full-armored jousters will duel on horseback for their rights to the fair maidens

of the land.  Majestic birds of prey will soar directly overhead during the thrilling free flying bird shows.  Young dragonologists can explore the fact versus fiction of these scaly beasts and receive a free token to begin their own dragon collection (supplies limited).

Medieval naturalists will be dispersed throughout the festival grounds for up-close encounters with local and exotic wildlife.  Entertainers, delicious food, an art auction, and continuous live music are only the tip of the sword.   Enter the realm of the Bald Eagle in Walk with the Eagles™, where guests have the unique opportunity to stand face-to-face with our national symbol and capture its fierce beauty on camera.

Hawk Creek Wildlife Center, Inc. has been featured on Rachael Ray, Conan O’Brien, PBS, and was voted a Blue Planet Hero by National Geographic.  Over 80 non-releasable animals from around the world call Hawk Creek home while hundreds more are rehabilitated at the Center each year.   Founded in East Aurora in 1987, Hawk Creek is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing wildlife education, rehabilitation, and conservation services to the community.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online (FREE shipping).  Event parking is FREE.  Please visit www.hawkcreek.org or call 716-652-8646 for information and directions.  Visitors will receive a 10 percent discount on online tickets for a limited time.  No pets please, and the event is rain or shine.

The Center is not open to the public year-round.  Please join us during our scheduled events or invite our wildlife to your next event! Hawk Creek Wildlife Center, Inc. PO Box 662, 655 Luther Road East Aurora, NY 14052, 716-652-8646.
