balle_littleThis past week in Grand Rapids, during the 10th Annual Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE) Business Conference, Executive Director of Buffalo First! Sarah Bishop announced that the 2013 BALLE Business Conference will be hosted in Buffalo, New York.

"Buffalo First! is exceptionally proud and humbled to be the local network host for the 2013 BALLE Business Conference," said Bishop. "We hope that this conference will strengthen and renew our commitment as a community to building Main Street and bring about a more cohesive vision for shared prosperity through a local, living economy."

The 11th annual BALLE Business Conference is planned for early June of next year. It will bring over 700 attendees, including hundreds of entrepreneurs and business owners, local leaders, economic and community development professionals, investors, funders, philanthropists, and policymakers from across North America to the Buffalo-Niagara region to explore emerging innovations and business solutions toward building healthy, sustainable and competitive local economies.

A press event is scheduled for next week in Buffalo with conference organizers and members of the local host committee.
