Photos by Jay Burney: Happy Earth Day Western New York

To celebrate our natural environment this Earth Day, we thought it would be appropriate to highlight some beautiful photographs of wildlife throughout our region.

Taken by Jay Burney of Times Beach Nature Preserve, GreenWatch and The Learning Sustainability Campaign, the photographs include candid shots of birds, insects and wildlife including: migrating gulls, white breasted nuthatches, the Rose-breasted Grossbeak, and many other species found in nature areas in our region.

Jay Burney is a photographer, writer, and videographer that documents the wild. You can see more of his photos on facebook at www.facebook.com/jburney/photos and at the Friends of Times Beach website www.friendsoftimesbeachnp.org/.  If you have any questions you can reach Jay at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
