Have you recently seen a pickup truck with a wolf decal on the back window driving around the city?
Unless there’s another one masquerading about the streets of Buffalo, you have probably spotted Buffalo CarShare’s newest addition!
The local car-sharing business recently obtained the 2006 Ford FT Pickup Truck just 3 weeks ago, and already it is their most highly used vehicle. Its large size is convenient for users because it makes transporting lots of materials and large items simple, affordable, and of course, eco-friendly.
Community garden and urban agriculture groups, like Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo and Massachusetts Avenue Project, are using the truck to cart plants, tools, and construction equipment around the city, but Ari from Buffalo CarShare adds that community service groups may also find the truck highly useful. Residents who are members of Buffalo CarShare have been finding the truck useful too, especially when moving or going to the hardware store.
The truck can be found parked at the Allen-Medical Metro Station. Other cars available from Buffalo CarShare include a host of Toyota Yaris’ and a Toyota Corolla, all parked in different areas about the city. Members find joining Buffalo CarShare cheaper and easier than buying their own car because they rely on other modes of transportation for their daily commute, and turn to CarShare for errands and irregular trips. This latest truck now makes it even easier for Buffalonians to stay local, reduce their impact on the environment, and still get the job done.
