R.S.V.P Today! Adopt-a-Beach™ In-Person Trainings

Adopt-a-Beach™ data is making a positive impact for our lakes! Information collected by volunteers is being shared with local, state and regional beach health officials and is used by the Alliance to comment on state programs to set standards for our coastal areas.

To keep your Adopt-a-Beach™ skills sharp, or to learn new skills, we recommend that all team leaders participate annually in an in-person (where available) or a web-based Adopt-a-Beach™ training. The Alliance offers two levels of training, Introductory or Advanced. During the Introductory training, Alliance staff will provide a program overview along with tips and methods for data collection. These trainings are also a perfect opportunity to learn about the Adopt-a-Beach™ online system and anything new offered through the program. The Advanced training includes a more in-depth view of data collection methods to ensure data collected is of the highest quality.

Tier One In-Person Introductory Trainings:
Hamburg, NY - April 18, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., Woodlawn Beach State Park, Main Lodge
Webster, NY - April 23, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Webster Park, Parkview Lodge
