Event Details

The Clean Air Coalition of Western New York has received a $100,000 federal grant to tackle air pollution issues in the Town of Tonawanda. The funding comes from a competitive grant program called Community Action for a Renewed Environment, or CARE.

Buffalo First! will be partnering with the Clean Air Coalition on a portion of the grant targeted at local business. The goal is to engage with the businesses on the ground to identify ways that they can reduce their use of toxic chemicals, energy, save money, and clean up the environment all at once.

Presenters for the evening include:

Heather Van Dusen, Community Development, B Lab: B Lab is a Philadelphia-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to using the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.

Bob Gilmour, Corporate Safety and Insurance Manager, John W. Danforth: John W. Danforth produces heating, ventilating, air conditioning, process piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Their environmental mission is to provide environmental improvements that promote a sustainable future and lead to social and economical advancements in our community.

This mixer is free & open to the public.
