To raise funds to support environmental education programs at Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve, Friends of Reinstein Nature Preserve invites the public to “Nature’s Gathering: An Evening of Art, Wine and Cheese,” on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The event will take place at the Father Justin Knights of Columbus Hall, 2735 Union Road, Cheektowaga.

“People turn to places like Reinstein Woods to be inspired, refreshed and to reconnect with nature,” said Friends’ President Terry Boyle.  “This event will connect people with nature-inspired art and artisans in our community through an enjoyable culinary event.”

Participants will enjoy a wine tasting provided by area wineries, including Marjim Manor, Leonard Oakes Estate Winery, Niagara Landing Wine Cellars, and Black Willow Winery.  A local musician will provide atmosphere while more than 20 artists display and sell nature photography, paintings, sculptures, metalwork, and other unique forms of art.  Local artisan cheese, cheesecake, and hors d’oeuvres featuring wild edibles will be served.  A basket auction will take place throughout the night.
