Activities include: educational presentations and displays about prevention, identification and treatment of arthritis and osteoporosis; botanical displays of plants from which current medications are derived and future medications are being researched.

Medicinal Garden

In collaboration with the D’Youville School of Pharmacy and Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, part of Catholic Health, is pleased to announce the creation of a Medicinal Garden.  Our Medicinal Garden will provide visitors with a better understanding of the importance of medicinal plants, how they are used in traditional, herbal and modern medicines and further strengthen their awareness of the interdependence between humans and plants.  Future plans for this display include its expansion to a more extensive Outdoor Medicinal Garden on the Gardens’ grounds.
