A request by the Audubon Center and Sanctuary’s seasoned trail guide group is resulting in an opportunity for many other folks.
The hour-long walks are being offered throughout the month of May. These volunteers lead busloads of school children on nature hikes on some of Audubon’s more than five miles of trails. When they asked for ongoing training, the Education Staff scheduled a series of “Walks with a Naturalist” – and decided to make the walks open to the public. Most of the hour-long walks will be led by the Ed staff, but other experts may be recruited to cover specific topics. Already begun, these guided excursions are being offered on:
May 25, 8:30 a.m.
The fee is $5 for Audubon members, $7 for non-members and free for trail guide volunteers. Reservations are not required.
