Event Details

Dr. Scott Stoleson and his merry crew set up the mist nets to capture migrating and resident birds.  After fitting each with a uniquely numbered leg band, the birds are released.  Demonstrations happen (weather-permitting) at the pavillion.

If you come down to Audubon for one of the demonstrations, you can accompany the scientists on net checks, watch the weighing and measuring and collecting of data.   And if you are very lucky, you will be selected to help release the bird.
